Mrs. Weakland's Page

Mrs. Weakland is from Louisville, Ohio, where she attended St. Louis Elementary and St. Thomas Aquinas High School. After graduating from high school in 2002, she attended Walsh University, where she was involved in numerous activities, including the Writing Center and the Walsh University Literary Society.
Graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2006, she received a Bachelor's of Arts in Middle School Education. Mrs. Weakland then began to work at Our Lady of Peace School in Canton, teaching Religion, Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, Mathematics, as well as Computers to the Middle School grades. In 2010, she began teaching at St. Barbara’s school in Massillon, where she taught until 2017, when she moved to St. Mary's.
In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she has led students in numerous other activities, such as the International Book Sharing Project, the Stark County District Library Youth Poetry Contest, Student Council, Safety Patrol, Book Club, the Science Fair, and numerous service projects and field trips.
Outside of teaching, Mrs. Weakland enjoys volunteering for causes such as Relay for Life and spending time with her daughter and son. She likes using her summer vacations for travel, as well as to continue to pursue a Master’s degree in Education.
